Favorite breakfast place in Waco. Awesome selection of pancakes, but the breakfast burrito is my best friend.
Waitress seemed uninterested, she did not take our order in a timely fashion nor deliver the food hot from kitchen. Usually the servers and good are very good but not today.
It's really nothing special but I liked it. The service was amazing but the food was just ok. It is a nice space for a big group to meet.
I do NOT recommend this place! I ordered a cinnamon roll and it was the worst cinnamon roll I ever tasted! Won't be going back ever again!
Lucky we were able to get there before the rush of ppl came, Although there was still a short wait! A very popular place! The Staff was friendly and Helpful! The Food I would say was a perfect combination of home cooked meals and A Great Dinning Experienced Foods!Over All This is an Establishment I will come back to again, and again!
Love their baked potatoes.
The food was not as good as usual. My eggs were overdone and my hashbrowns were under cooked. They are usually good.
Great place for breakfast! Great service!
Great food. Great staff
We had breakfast here while visiting for silobration. The vanilla coconut latte was amazing and our sweet waitress was very nice. I wish I remembered her name to recognize her.
Not bad, not great. Service was a bit slow and refills were non existent.
Great service, working well with covid procedures. Gingerbread pancakes are super, be sure to ask for powdered sugar on the side along with the syrup. Just steps the pancakes up a notch.
Food was ok. not highly satisfied. Bus boy gave us more service than any of the waitresses
You can smell everything before you even walk in the door it's so amazing and there's such a variety of things every time I go in here I'm just amazed such a great environment
I give this particular branch a chance every six months or so when I'm in the area. It's always the same. They have way too much staff because nobody is working. My typical experience is I am waited on by 4 different people to deliver eggs and potatoes and the potatoes come out mushy, something is missing, and the bill is wrong. They serve a shot of espresso in a giant coffee cup. My server this time didn't know what soda water is, my fruit never came out and when she offered to amend my bill at checkout, just walked to the counter, rang me up, and brought it back. Nobody that works here seems to care about doing a good job and I don't care about ever coming back.
I ordered the mixed berries and pecan crepe and was pretty disappointed with it. I've never had a crepe that didn't have some kind of cream cheese or ricotta filling to glue it together. All of the berries immediately fell out and went rolling all over the plate when I cut into it so it ended up being very difficult to eat. My fiance had the ham and cheese omlette which he said had no flavor even after adding salsa to it. The waiting area is cramped and chaotic and the whole restaurant is loud. Service definitely wasn't the greatest as it took a long time for our order to be taken and we rarely saw our waiter afterwards.Overall, not a place I'll be coming to regularly.
Good breakfast, good service, not loud
Very cool place service is very good
I really enjoy this cafe. I am a regular customer and I am frequently served by Janet. Last Fri was a very enjoyable visit with Janet as server. Food was great and she was excellent as usual. Very attentive, personable, knowledgeable and gracious. She would be an asset for any business.
Great place, nice people. I had a delicious croissant sandwich. Do NOT get fast food breakfast...shop local!
Very nice!! Always #1 pancakes
This is a must eat breakfast spot in Waco. Their food is always fantastic and the customer service is phenomenal.
Quick but weird waitress layout especially with ordering drinks
Food was great and it's obviously a popular place to go in Waco. We had been told in advance that it was crowded on Sundays and it was a little upsetting for our group to have the manager hovering around checking every so often if we needed anything else in an attempt to get us to leave so they could turn the table once we had finished out meal. She was extremely nice and accommodating once we were leaving. The staff in general, excellent.
They have a good menu. They also have bad cooks and poor waitstaff. I still eat there 2 or 3 times a year hoping that the owner has fired everybody and finally got some good help. It just has not happened yet.
What a disappointment. Waited 10 min just to get my coffee and then after another 15 min I had finished my coffee and not one sever came by to take my order. As I was about to walk out the door I decided to let the older woman working by the register know about my experience. She proceeds to tell me that they are short handed because no one wants to catch the virus and that it’s to bad I don’t understand. I spent many years in the restaurant business and never would have told that to a customer. If your short handed you rally your “troops” to step up and make sure the customer is satisfied. With restaurants only being able to seat at 50% capacity, the number of employees I saw should have had no problem taking care of customers.
Food is always delicious and very filling. The waitress is always attentive.
Waffle was good and mostly warm. Pancake and meat was almost cold. The lattes were ok. This place was nothing to be excited about unfortunately. Manager came to talk to us about our food, and said she saw our food was plated, (Saying it couldn’t have been cold). She then said, I’ll take 10% off and walked away. I’m giving two stars only because the waitresses were very kind.
I love the decorations, and the staff are very nice. My drink can in 2 minutes and my food in 7. The Italian soda I got was AMAZING and the pancakes Spectacular!
First visit and it was great. Service and food were excellent.
Very good omelet and awesome pancakes, docking one star for service that was very slow.
We enjoyed ourselves so much they had to kick us out! Amazing food and service!
Loved the huge plate sized pancakes. Just needed to be fluffier. Bacon was crisp. Coffee was plain.
To start off, we were seated at a “C” shaped table across from a group of college students which was very strange... why not give two people their own table instead of seating them with strangers? Do they need recommendations on where to get proper restaurant tables? The service was lacking. The food was nothing special and honestly I could make a better omelette. And the pancakes were very doughy. I would not recommend this place unless you are looking for subpar service and food.
Service was terrible, waitress had sweat dripping off her face, food was gross, cappuccino was awful and restaurant was dirty. We are new to the Waco area and this is by far the worst restaurant we’ve been to. I’m not usually one to leave reviews but I felt I needed to warn people to not go here. So many better options in Waco!
Tasty meal. Cobb salad and Pecan spinach salad were yummy. Service was excellent and the restaurant was clean. Will definitely eat here again.
Nice atmosphere, although often crowded. May be understaffed because waitresses sometimes seem confused. Amazing coffee. Breakfast food is about so-so.
Service was great. Servers were patient while my sister fed my niece and took her order separately, but it didn't take long for us to get our food at all. Very nice servers and hosts!
Fast, friendly service. Good food. Fair prices
Great food. Great, friendly service. They serve breakfast all day. GF pancakes are available. I can't wait to go back.
Waited for over 30 min after ordering our food before they came and told us they hadn’t put it in. The server then gave us attitude when asking us what we wanted to eat. Still took another 5 min and asking again before our beverages came. Terrible service, won’t be back.
Delightful local breakfast & lunch cafe. Their menu for breakfast had so many yummy sounding items it was hard to decide. I finally selected the Frenchtoastwich - egg, bacon & cheese between two slices of French toast. It was not only unique but delicious. Wish I could have tried some of the interesting pancakes. It's busy so the food brings in folks to this "off the beaten path" strip mall location.
I’ve had good and bad experiences from this place but the most recent time was so disappointing. We could barely chew the bacon, the strawberries for my French toast were so old and acidic. And the waiter never came to refill the drinks and even came back at all after taking our orders. The wait staff are horrible her minus a few.
If I could give ZERO stars, I would. We didn’t even have time to sit down and she’s already asking for drink orders. Takes over twenty minutes and still didn’t get to even place our order, and there was nobody hardly in the restaurant. Our waitress was stupid and didn’t realize that every time she looked around the corner and helped others, we could see because the place is FILLED WITH MIRRORS. Cafe cap is officially the worst restaurant, in the history of Waco. Next time I’ll go to McDonald’s, instead of this. All cafe caps seem to be pretty disappointing service wise.
I tried this area yesterday and that’s also good I really liked my English muffin and sausage cheddar omelet
Food was terrible. I had the ham and cheese omelette, a pancake and a bagel. Omelette was $8.25. but it was really small. Tasted terrible. Had 2 bites and couldn't eat it anymore. Pancake was tasteless. Only tasted the butter and syrup on it. Only decent thing was the bagel, which they probably got at HEB... Wont ever go here again.
Will never go to any of their stores again. Asked for some coffee while waiting in a long line for a table. Was refused. Thought they were joking. They were not. While my wife & I discussed how odd that was, a young man who sat down to talk to a friend was told, "You can't sit down there." Again, thought they were joking. Again, they were not. They will never get another dime of my money.
Came here expecting a solid tasty breakfast with some good coffee since the pictures looked good and the place shows 4.1 stars. Omelet was 9$. When it came it was a little tiny thing on a plate. Had no taste. Cheap. Ordered a greek wrap. Honestly had better wraps at a truck stops. Food is cheap, no quality. Coffee tastes like steamed milk. And cost 5$. Servers look like they dont care for their job at all. Anyways, super disappointed. One star. Hope no one come here wasting their money. Go to egg and I. Go to cracker barrell. Spend same money. Eat twice as much with twice the quality.
Used to be good, lately not so much
